In 1997, Odyssey Sports was acquired, expanding Callaway's line of putters. Eventually this led to the release of the Odyssey White Hot putter line in 2000.

Callaway Golf acquires the Odyssey brand from Tommy Armor Golf and quickly turns it into the world's number one brand of putters.
